READING — June I. Beane, 95, a longtime Reading resident, passed away Friday, June 7, 2019 in Stoneham. June was 10 days shy of reaching her 96th birthday. She felt blessed with her longevity but was also mindful of others that did not share her good fortune.

She was born on June 17, 1923 in Brighton. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Emily Lynch.

June was a Stoneham High School graduate and frequently reminded family members of her “most athletic” award. While raising five daughters, she worked as a housekeeper. She developed enduring friendships with many of her clients. June loved family gatherings, gifting and commemorating birthdays. She never forgot a family member’s birthday. June also loved reading and word puzzles. She had a passion for antiquing and loved Camp to Castle, which she referred to as her “fun shop.” She was an avid Bruins and Red Sox fan.

June was the beloved wife of the late Raymond J. Beane Jr. She was predeceased by her cherished daughter, June M. Reid. She was the loving mother of Grace Ancona, Diane Keenan, Beverly Turino and her husband Warren, and Nancy Emero and her husband Mark. She is also survived by 13 magnificent grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. June was the sister of the late Edward Lynch Jr., William Lynch, and Harry Lynch.
