WAKEFIELD — Lawrence R. White, 75, of Wakefield, died on Monday, August 28 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.
Born in Lynn on May 3, 1942, he was the son of the late John W. and Dorothy V. (Anderson) White.
Mr. White was a graduate of Saugus High School, Class of 1961. He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War.
Mr. White was a retired lieutenant for the Saugus Fire Department. He had been a Wakefield resident for the past 38 years and had enjoyed woodworking.
He was the husband of Esther M. (Anderson) White. Mr. White was the father of the late John M. White and his wife Natasha of Wakefield, Matthew L. White and his wife Jennifer of NC and Aaron A. White and his wife Ann Marie of NH. He was the brother of John W. White of NH and the late Richard M. White. Mr. White was the grandfather of Katelynne, Joshua, Sarah, Kayla, Daniel and Deven and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
His funeral service will be held in the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Friday at 11 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
