LYNNFIELD — The Lynnfield Center Water District (LCWD) announces that “fire flow” testing and water main flushing of the distribution system will be performed in conjunction with the Lynnfield Fire Department on both Monday, July 20, and Wednesday, July 22 between the hours of 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. This is part of the ongoing hydrological survey project being conducted by the District’s engineering firm CDM Smith.

Many residents will experience discolored water, which should clear after running their cold water at the highest faucet within their house for a short period of time.

Residents are also advised to avoid doing laundry during the flushing period and to check their water after the day’s flushing period before starting their washing machine. If a customer experiences lower pressure at their faucet after the flushing, he or she should check the faucet screen for particles which may have collected and clean out if necessary.

2. End of Thistle Lane
