LYNNFIELD-CTR-WATER-0716

LYNNFIELD — The Lynnfield Center Water District (LCWD) will conduct water main flushing of the distribution system Mondays through Thursdays throughout the month of May during the hours of 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

This is part of the ongoing regular maintenance of the water distribution system and is done in conjunction with the Lynnfield Fire Department’s fire flow testing and Lynnfield DPW department’s street sweeping program.

Residents may experience discolored water, which should clear after running their cold water at the highest elevation faucet within their house for a short period of time.

Residents are also advised to avoid doing laundry during the flushing period and to check their water first by running cold water for a few minutes after each day’s flushing period before starting their washing machine.  If customers experiences lower pressure at their faucet after the flushing, they should check the faucet screen for particles which may have collected and clean it out if necessary.

Customers may contact the LCWD office at 1-781-334-3901 or the district’s web site: www.LCWD.US for more information.
