LYNNFIELD — By order of the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection, under the conditions of the withdrawal permits, the 14 cities and towns of the Ipswich River Basin including the Lynnfield Center Water District must restrict outside water usage to only hand held hoses with a nozzle. Violations of the restrictions are subject to a fine or fines.
If the extreme dry spell continues, a total ban on outside use may be imposed by the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection and will be posted on the District website www.LCWD.us.
