LYNNFIELD — The Lynnfield Lions Club has donated $500 to the Lynnfield Public Library for the purchase of large print books. The intent is to have these books available at the library for the visually impaired and enhance the library’s current collection of large print titles.
The Lynnfield Lions Club is comprised of local residents and is part of Lions International, one of the world’s largest service organizations. Its primary focus is preventing blindness through eye research and helping the visually impaired.
Chartered in 1954, the Lynnfield Lions Club since that time has donated significantly to eye research as well as being active in local charities. They meet twice a month and always welcome new members. For more information, call 781-245-7986.
