MELROSE — The Melrose Family YMCA offers a program for cancer survivors called LiveSTRONG at the YMCA.

It is a 12-week exercise program designed for cancer survivors, led by instructors trained specifically to work with survivors, and free for all participants. Along with the free program, it also provides a free membership for the participants and a caregiver for the 12 weeks.

We are starting our next program on Feb. 4 and have spaces available. This is a program that has proven to improve the recovery and quality of life for people going through treatment, and returning to a level of normalcy.
