LYNNFIELD — A group of young Lynnfield children and their parents recently got together to celebrate the season of giving.
The group adopted a family through Aspire Developmental Services in Lynn, an organization that aims to positively affect the quality of life of people with disabilities and their families. By adopting a family, the children went shopping and purchased essential items such as winter gear, clothing, toys and gift cards to grocery and big box stores in order to give this family a bright Christmas that they will never forget. The group of children then got together to wrap the presents and make ornaments and cards for their “family.”
The group of children has decided to start a group, Pioneers with a Purpose. As members of this group, the children will get together monthly to volunteer and get involved with many different local non-profits.
