LYNNFIELD — The United States celebrated Flag Day on Wednesday, June 14.
The proper way to dispose of tattered and unusable flags is to burn them. On Monday, June 12, Lynnfield’s Cub Scout Pack 48 hosted a flag retirement ceremony at the home of Troop Leader Charles Leach. The Cub Scouts who attended the ceremony were
Mina Leach, Peyton MacNichol, Benjamin Sheehan, Caden Matthews, Logan MacNichol, Silvio Leach and Ty Anderson. Pack 48 leader Natasha Anderson also attended the ceremony.
After reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, the scouts and others in attendance learned about this important tradition, and participated in the ceremony.
