TOWNSPEOPLE can purchase Great American Rain Barrels at a discount.
LYNNFIELD — The Lynnfield Center Water District and the Department of Public Works have teamed up to sell The Great American Rain Barrels to residents at a substantial savings.
The rain barrels cost $89 each, which represents a 40 percent savings off the retail cost.
Residents can order and pay online on the Lynnfield program page at greatamericanrainbarrel.com/community to select Lynnfield community, the rain barrel color and any attachments desired. The order deadline is Sunday, June 2 at midnight. Pick-up is Saturday, June 15 from 9 to 11 a.m. in the DPW Recycling Yard, which is located at the rear of 55 Summer Street. The rain barrel is 40-inches tall and 24-inches in diameter. It will slide easily into the back seat of most four door sedans. It should be tied down for truck pick-up.
