“They have some very good shooters,” acknowledged Lynnfield head coach Pat Lamusta. “We also had trouble with penalties and they scored three man-up goals.”

Lynnfield committed six penalties overall.

Owen Considine, Drew Damiani and Jack Calichman all scored twice for the Pioneers. For Considine, a freshman, it was his first-career start.

“He had a huge game,” said Lamusta, about the junior attacker.

Senior co-captains, Steadman and Janssen Sperling had one goal and one assist each while Calichman had a team-high four assists.

Cardinal, Considine and Bryce Kay all found the back of the Hornet net once.

Pimentel had 14 stops in net to record the win.

The next game for the Pioneers will be on Thursday (Apr. 14) as they go to Amesbury at 4 p.m. Next Tuesday, Lynnfield visits Wilmington in a non-league game. That contest will start at 11 a.m. with it being April Vacation Week.
