IPSWICH — The red-hot Lynnfield High girls’ basketball team won its third consecutive game last Friday night as they won at Ipswich, 38-29. With that victory, the team climbed back to the .500 mark at 4-4.

“They sat in a zone and we were not hitting our outside shots,” explained Lynnfield’s first-year head coach Jeannie Cavallaro. “It was our third game of the week, and with only six players, we were a little tired but able to do some good things late.”

The night before the Manchester-Essex win, the Pioneers won at Triton, 54-20, up in Byfield.

Buonfiglio had a team-high 16 points while junior forward Riley Hallahan had 12. George and Klonsky both scored eight points.
