LYNNFIELD — The annual Walter Cuffe Memorial Golf Tournament is set to tee off on Sunday, Sept. 8 at the Reedy Meadow Golf Course in Lynnfield.

This charitable event promises a day of golf, picnic-style gourmet dining and giving back to the community.

Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Massachusetts Lions Eye Research Fund, supporting crucial research and treatment efforts to combat preventable blindness and eye diseases.

The nine-hole, par-34 course at Reedy Meadow is a setting for golfers of all skill levels. With its flat terrain, generous fairways, and well-manicured greens, the 2,560-yard course provides both challenge and accessibility.

For $75 per golfer or $280 per foursome, participants will enjoy nine holes with a cart, a delicious steak or lobster lunch, beverages and a gift bag. The event organizers emphasize that every swing contributes to the fight against vision-related health issues.

“This tournament is not just about golf; it’s about making a difference in people’s lives,” said Wyoma Lions Club President Mark Erwich. “We’re inviting the community to join us for a day of friendly competition that could help change the future of eye health.”
