LYNNFIELD — The staff of the Lynnfield Senior Center, 525 Salem St., has announced two important programs.
Dementia Awareness Day: Townspeople are invited to come to the Senior Center from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 4 to learn more about dementia and how people can make a difference in the life of a loved one suffering with the challenges this disease presents. There will be lectures, discussions, and caregiver workshops. Lunch will be provided by Greater Lynn Senior Services (GLSS). Residents should call Taylor at GLSS (781-586-8511) to register. This program will be held at the Lynnfield Senior Center.
The Savvy Caregiver Program: This program is a free, six-week training series for family caregivers. The Savvy Caregiver Program helps caregivers better understand the changes their loved ones are experiencing, and how to best provide individualized care. This program runs from Wednesday, April 25 through Wednesday, May 30, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Townspeople should call Debby Segil at GLSS (781-586-8540) to register. This program will be held at the Lynnfield Senior Center.
