LYNNFIELD — Ann B. (Bishop) Smith, 90, of Lynnfield died on December 21, 2019 in Chelmsford.
Ann was born in North Attleborough on May 24, 1929, and was the daughter of the late Donald and Dorothy (Cullen) Bishop.
Ann was raised in North Attleboro, was a graduate of North Attleborough High School and later Colby College. She had worked for “Life Magazine” in New York. She was a longtime Lynnfield resident since 1962 and enjoyed gardening, skiing, interior decorating and was an avid reader.
Ann was the beloved wife of the late John C. Smith. She was the loving mother of Charles C. Eaton and his wife Paula of New Hampshire; Bradford B. Eaton of Groton; Scott H. Eaton of New Hampshire; John G. Smith of Amesbury; Lindsay Smith Barkan of Vermont; and Leslie Smith Olson of Lynnfield. She was the sister of the late Judith Bishop Chase. She was the grandmother of Matthew, Mark, Alex, Brett, Brian, Randy, Spencer, Zachary and Wesley. She was the great-grandmother of London Eaton.
Her funeral service was held in the Centre Congregational Church, 5 Summer St., Lynnfield on Tuesday, December 31. Visitation for relatives and friends was held prior to the service. Interment took place at Forest Hill Cemetery, Lynnfield.
