Enjoyed travel, mahjong, knitting and crafting

WAKEFIELD — Barbara Adams, 77, of Wakefield, formerly of Lynnfield and Malden, passed away on Dec. 9, 2019.
Barbara was the devoted wife of the late Daniel Weiner. She is survived by her loving daughter Lori and her husband Rick Michaud; her cherished sister Diane Elefson and family; Gerri Weiner, Alan and Beth Weiner. She was the adored grandmother of Olivia, Julia, Owen Michaud and Lauren Licata; Benjamin and Jess Weiner; and Lindsay and Scott Lupi. She was the cherished great-grandmother of Isabella Licata and the great-grandmother to Ruby Weiner, Talia and Tucker Weiner.
Barbara was raised in Malden and was a graduate of Malden High School. Barbara went to Forsythe Dental School and was a dental hygienist. She worked 30 years at SmithKline Beecham as a sales manager. Most recently, she worked at the Graphic Group for the last 13 years in inside sales.
Barbara was an avid reader and coordinator of the Lynnfield Library Cuisine About Cuisine group for 10 years. She was a mentor for the Learn to Read program for 13 years with children each week. She loved to travel and traveled with her late husband and friends all over the world. She enjoyed Mahjong, knitting, crafting and being creative. She was a Campfire Girl leader for 10 years. Most of all, she cherished being with her family.
Services were held at Temple Tiferet Shalom, 489 Lowell St., Peabody on Thursday, Dec. 12. Interment took place at Lebanon Tifereth Israel Cemetery, Peabody. Condolence calls were made at the home of Lori and Rick Michaud following the interment last Thursday and Friday. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be donated to the Lynnfield Public Library, 18 Summer St., Lynnfield MA 01940 in honor of the Curious About Cuisine Group.
