Avid fantasy baseball player

CHELMSFORD — Kevin Hanson, 55, of Chelmsford, formerly of Wakefield, died Monday, Feb. 5, 2018 at Lowell General Hospital.
Born in Melrose on November 3, 1962, he was the son of Barbara (Haladay) Hanson of Whitefield, New Hampshire and Ronald W. Hanson of Jefferson, New Hampshire
Kevin was a graduate of Pingree School, Class of 1981 and went on to attend the University of Lowell. He had been a longtime bartender and DJ. He was an avid fantasy baseball player and was an overall Boston sports fan.
In addition to his parents, Kevin is survived by his beloved daughter, Nicole Hanson and her fiancé Will Douglass of Rehoboth; his brother, Scott W. Hanson and his wife Kathy of Lynnfield; his longtime companion, Linda O’Neill, as well as his former wife, Jacqueline (Roberts) Dooley of Dighton.
His funeral was held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Monday, Feb. 12, followed by a Funeral Mass in Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St., Wakefield. Visitation for relatives and friends was held at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
