Thrilled to fly with Amelia Earhart

LYNNFIELD — Marion Edythe Peeke, 100, a longtime Lynnfield resident, died peacefully on Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2018 at her home. Born in Newburyport, she was the daughter of the late Budd Tuck and Josephine (French) Tuck.

Mrs. Peeke was a graduate of Newbury High School and Bryant and Stratton Commercial School, Boston. She was a den mother; Sunday school teacher at the Lynnfield Centre Congregational Church, of which she was a member for over 50 years; Rainbow and DeMolay Mother’s Guild; and was active with the Lynnfield Senior Center.

With her late husband, Ernest C. Peeke, she enjoyed square dancing, ballroom dancing and winters in Florida. She also loved to knit, play cards with her friends and make Christmas ornaments for family; as well as being an avid Red Sox fan. She was thrilled to fly with Amelia Earhart.

Preceding in her death were her brother, Donald Tuck, daughter-in-law Joan (Crowley) Peeke, and her companion of many years, Eugene McCall.

She was the loving mother of Allan of Medford; Dianne Cote and her husband Leo of Bridgewater; Robert of Unionville, Connecticut’ Douglas and his wife Martha of Littleton; and Nancy Swasey and her husband Robert of Lynnfield. She was the grandmother to nine and great-grandmother to 13.

Funeral and burial services will be private as per her wishes. Arrangements are in the care of the McDonald Funeral Home, Wakefield.
