NEWPORT, R.I. — Mary C. “Tina” Infurna, 89, of Newport, R.I, formerly of Stoneham, Lynnfield and Marco Island, Florida, died on Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2018 in Newport.

Born in Boston on August 13, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Sarah (Abbate) Faraci.

Tina was raised in Medford and was a graduate of Medford High School, Class of 1947. She raised her family in Stoneham and was a member of St. Patrick Parish in Stoneham and later in life was a member of Our Lady of Assumption Church in Lynnfield, where she sang in the church choir. She also had a passion for gardening. Tina most enjoyed spending time with her family and was dedicated to her husband.

She was the beloved wife of the late Philip C. Infurna. She was the loving mother of Philip J. Infurna and his wife Linda of Naples, Florida and Brewster; and Patricia Geoffroy and her husband Leo of Newport, Rhode Island. She was the sister of Josephine Duffy of Ariz. and the late Rocco Faraci. She was the cherished grandmother of Melissa, Philip “PJ” and his wife Jennifer, Danielle and her husband Ryan, Brittany, and Brandon. She was the great-grandmother of Abigail, William, Tucker, Grayson, Henry, and Luke. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Her funeral was held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Monday, Nov. 26 followed by a funeral Mass in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham. Visitation for relatives and friends took place at the funeral home on Sunday, Nov. 25. Entombment took place in the Holy Cross Mausoleum in Malden.
