WAKEFIELD — Michael Richard Douglas, 57, a longtime Wakefield resident, died Thursday, June 4, 2020 at The Massachusetts General Hospital after a long battle with cancer.
Michael was raised in Lynnfield and was a graduate of Lynnfield High School and Merrimack College.
Michael was the general manager and producer of the Douglas Insurance Agency in Lynnfield for over 30 years. He always enjoyed working with his many clients and established many relationships with them.
He was the husband of the late Nancy E. Douglas, with whom he shared over 30 years of marriage.
Michael was the son of Arthur E. and Geraldine (Mikolajewski) Douglas of Lynnfield. He was the brother of Robert A. and his wife Lisa Douglas of Lynnfield. He was the uncle to Alexa and Danielle Douglas of Lynnfield. Michael was also a loving friend of his caretaker Lisa Manzo and his companion Debbi Dicienzo.
In view of current COVID-19 conditions, Michael’s burial will be private and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to either the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute or Alcoholics Anonymous.
