MOUNT HOREB, WISCONSIN — Richard G. Areglado, 78, of Mount Horeb, Wisconsin, formerly of Reading, died on Friday, Nov. 9, 2018 in Melrose.
He was born in Boston on July 29, 1940 and was the son of the late Richard and Mary (Swedloff) Areglado.
Richard was a graduate of Boston English High School and Bentley College. He had been a Wisconsin resident since 1996.
He was the husband of the late Helen (Miles) Areglado. Richard was the loving father of Scott Areglado and his wife Cindy of Lynnfield; Beth Kaiser and her husband Brad of Menlo Park, California; and Jennifer Rosenberg Harter and her husband Bryan of Wakefield. He was the brother of Ronald J. Areglado of Charlestown, Rhode Island; brother-in-law of Mary Raposa of Portsmouth, Rhode Island; and the fiancée of Laurena “Mitzi” Gatlin of Topsfield. He is also survived by his six grandchildren: Christopher, Jeffrey, Andrew, Daniel, Russell. and Zachary. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
His funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Our Lady of Assumption Church, corner of Salem and Grove St., Lynnfield on Thursday, Nov. 15 at 10 a.m. Interment will take place in Lakeside Cemetery in Wakefield.
