Enjoyed life as a musician

LYNNFIELD — Thomas Charles Schneider, 76, of Lynnfield, formerly of Alexandria, Minn. and Saugus, died at his home on Thursday, May 10, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Melinda (Schaffner) Schneider with whom he shared 52 years of marriage.

Born in Dorchester on March 24, 1942, he was the son of the late Henry and Katherine (O’Connell) Schneider. Mr. Schneider enjoyed life as a musician playing in many clubs in the Boston and North Shore areas during his younger years. In 1971, he was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and was an active member of the Congregation in Wakefield. So many of his friends and relatives surrounded him during the last month of his illness, for that he was greatly encouraged.

Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, whom he was most proud of, Paul and his wife Susan of Millersville, Md. He was the brother of Patricia Consentine, Carol Randall, Michael Schneider and his wife Sandy. Mr. Schneider is also survived by many nieces and nephews and his sister-in-law Betty Cadger. He was predeceased by his brother Paul Schneider.
