According to recent literature, the Grand Opening of our new Bread of Life building was a triumph, “capping 20 years of faith, labor, perseverance and funding on the part of many, many people in the community! Thank YOU to all who helped make the Grand Opening a success!

“Our 54 Eastern Ave. (Malden) project brings all Bread of Life programs under one roof – food pantries, evening meals, backpacks, motel shelter food provision, grocery delivery and food access – along with our offices and a multi-purpose hall for expanded programs. The project also provides 14 affordable studio apartments owned and operated by Metro North Housing Corp (MNHC) to provide permanent housing for very low-income formerly homeless individuals.

“Let’s continue Moving Forward to a Brighter Future by walking together on October 6th. Join us for our annual fundraising event and help support our programs during this exciting new time for Bread of Life!”

Bread of Life is a nonprofit, nondenominational faith based organization serving the communities north of Boston, with a mission to feed the body and to nurture the soul. We strive to feed the hungry, the homeless, the needy and the isolated; to offer spiritual nurture, support and hospitality; to promote greater peace and justice by addressing broader issues of hunger, poverty, and need; and to conduct our work in a spirit of respect and nonviolence.
