MALDEN — Margaret B. “Peggy” Hanley of Malden died on Tuesday, Aug. 16.
Margaret was raised and educated in Malden. She is a graduate of Boston University. For over 20 years, she worked as an admitting clerk at the Malden Hospital.
An avid, lifelong Red Sox fan, Peggy was a homemaker who enjoyed caring for and spending time with her family.
She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas Hanley. She was the mother of Steven M. Hanley and his wife Donna of Derry, N,H,, Marjorie A. Sartori of Malden and Scott J. Hanley and his wife Mary of Wakefield. She was the grandmother of Jennifer, Jill, Tim, Elizabeth, Caroline, Samantha, Julia and Catherine. She was the great-grandmother of Anthony, Matthew, Maeva, Mikey, Avery and Maddie. She was the sister of Marjorie Moore of St. Louis. She was the cousin of Pat Varzakis and Mary Connell of Malden.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral from the Breslin Funeral Home, 610 Pleasant St., Malden on Tuesday, Aug. 23, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden at 10 a.m.
Services will conclude with interment in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody.
Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Monday, Aug. 22, from 4-8 p.m.
