Marie-MacInnes-obit-8-11-17_webMELROSE — Marie T. (Dinarello) MacInnes, 78, formerly of Melrose, died August 8, 2017.

Marie was born in Winthrop on October 10, 1938 to Joseph and Rena (Martinoli) Dinarello, and graduated from Melrose High School in 1956. Marie worked as an accountant for Polaroid in Waltham for over 30 years. She always enjoyed traveling, making trips to Italy, Hawaii, Alaska, and Canada. Marie was also an avid reader and she loved books. Most importantly, she loved her family. Spending time with her children and grandchildren brought her great joy.

Marie was the wife of the late Allan MacInnes. She was the loving mother of Katherine Iacoviello and her husband Joseph of Reading; William MacInnes and his wife Maria of Melrose; Karen Pecci and her husband Alan of Sutton; Karole O’Leary and her husband Tim of Sutton; and Allan MacInnes and his wife Lydia of Virginia. She was the sister of Iris Whitehorn and her husband Bob; Carl Dinarello & his wife Janet; Rena Fitzgerald and her husband Tom; and Joseph Dinarello. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Timothy and his wife Megan; Joseph and his wife Megan; Nicholas and his wife Sandra; Daniel, Jill, Katrena, Elizabeth, Jack, Victoria, Christopher, Kaitlyn, Christina, Michael, Carrie, Allan, Chelsea and Dominic. She was also the great granddaughter Meredith as well as many nieces and nephews.

Visiting Hours will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 West Foster St., Melrose on Sunday, August 13 from 3-6 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, August 14, at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St., Wakefield. Interment will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
