WAKEFIELD – Marilyn L. Wenzel, 87, longtime Greenwood resident, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2019 at High Pointe House in Haverhill, surrounded by her loving family.

Born and raised in Greenwood, Marilyn was one of four siblings born to the late Elmer and Lenore (Chandler) Graves. Marilyn was also a longtime resident of Naples, Fla. and of North Andover.

Predeceased by her beloved husband of 47 years, former Wakefield firefighter William L. Wenzel, Jr. Marilyn is survived by five children; William L. Wenzel, III, Gary P. Wenzel, Marilyn J. Wenzel, Paul C. Wenzel and wife Laura, Amy Wenzel-Mellman and husband Mark. She also leaves grandchildren, Kristine, Paul, Rebecca, Kaitlyn, Matthew and Meagan, 10 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and brother-in-law Father James A. Wenzel, OSA.

The Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Joseph Parish, Wakefield, on Thursday, January 10 at 12 noon. The family will be available to greet friends and family at 11 a.m. Burial will be private. Light refreshments will follow the Mass.
