Lived in town for 32 years, great–great–grandmother of two

(Dalton) Apigian, 95, of Brunswick, Maine and formerly of North Reading, died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2015 at Chans Home Health Care and Hospice in Brunswick, Maine, surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife 67 years to the late Manuel G. Apigian Sr.

Born in Amherst on April 14,1920, she was the daughter of the late James and Anna (Tobin) Dalton. She was raised in Amherst and was a graduate of Amherst High School.

Mary was a homemaker and a devoted loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a kind hearted person who always saw the positive in everyone. Her family and friends were the most important thing in her life. She enjoyed spending the summers at the cottage in Maine and winters in Florida. She loved cooking, sewing and spending the holidays with her family. Mary was an avid Patriot and Red Sox fan. She enjoyed watching the games with Manny.

Mary was a former resident of North Reading for 32 years. She was a member of St. Theresa Church and belonged to the Ladies Sodality.

Family members include her loving sons, Manuel G. Apigian Jr. and his wife Patricia of Waitsfield, Vt., Lester Apigian and his wife Barbara of Cundys Harbor, Harpswell, Maine and William Apigian and his wife Mara of McClean, Va.; daughters, Ruth Apigian of Andover, Barbara Frattini and her husband William of Bath, Maine and Kathleen Apigian of Methuen; 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two great–great–grandchildren.

Her funeral was held from the Croswell Funeral Home, 19 Bow St., North Reading on Monday, Nov. 23, followed by a funeral Mass at St. Theresa Church, 63 Winter St. (Rt. 62), North Reading.  Burial was in Riverside Cemetery in North Reading.
