TINTON FALLS, N.J. — Mary E. Crowley, 95, formerly of Wakefield and Reading, died peacefully in her home at Arbor Terrace in Tinton Falls, N.J. on Monday, July 31.

Born in Wakefield in 1921 to the late Frank and Florence Confalone, she married the love of her life, Robert Crowley, in 1955 and lived in Reading until 2004, when she and Bob moved to New Jersey to be closer to her only daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren.

Mary was valedictorian of her class at Wakefield High School and graduated from Boston University. As a mother and loving wife, she enjoyed cooking, baking and making a wonderful home for her family.

She loved New England and especially vacationing every summer on Nantucket Island.

Mary is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years, Robert Crowley, of Tinton Falls, N.J.; her daughter, Jane Quirk and husband, William, of Rumson, N.J.; and her grandchildren, Sarah Quirk, of New York, NY, and William Quirk, of Boston. She is predeceased by her parents, her brother John Confalone and her sister Eleanor Confalone.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Wednesday, August 2, at St. James Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank, N.J. and interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield on Thursday, August 3.
