Mary-Frances-Kelley-webMELROSE — Mary Frances (Dolaher) Kelley, 85, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 19, 2017. 

Mary was born in Melrose on February 24, 1932 to the late Joseph and Helena (O’Connell) Dolaher and was a lifelong resident. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s Grammar School and St. Mary’s High School. In 1956, Mary married William J. Kelley also of Melrose. They recently celebrated 61 years of marriage. Mary was a true child of God. She took great delight volunteering her time for the children of St. Mary’s Grammar School. She also spent many years volunteering at Malden Catholic High School. She was the beloved wife of 61 years to William J. Kelley. 

She was the devoted mother of David Kelley and his wife Lee Ann of Hampton, New Hampshire; Richard Kelley of Rochester, New Hampshire; Jane Korontjis of Melrose; William Kelley and his wife Lori; and Thomas Kelley and his wife Jacqueline all of Glen Allen, Virginia. She was the very proud grandmother of Colin, Robert, Griffin, Quinn, Brandon, Elizabeth, Megan, Spencer, Victoria Kelley and Tyler Korontjis. She was the loving sister of Susan Dawley and her husband Jack; David Dolaher and his wife Judy; Eileen Cook and her late husband Gerald; and Joseph Dolaher and his wife Joyce. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation was held at the Gately Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 23, 2017. Funeral procession from the Gately Funeral Home occurred on Thursday morning, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church, 9 Herbert St. Melrose at 10 a.m. Interment will take place at Wyoming Cemetery in Melrose.
