WAKEFIELD — Mary F. Smith, 92, died peacefully at the Wakefield Care Center on Sunday, March 4, 2018, following a period of failing health. Mary was born in Wakefield on June 23, 1925 and was the daughter of Everett and Annie (DeVeau) Malonson.
Mary was the beloved wife of the late George R. Smith Sr. She was the loving mother of George R. Smith Jr. and his wife Ruth Ann, and Paul C. Smith, all of Wakefield. She was the loving grandmother of Joseph R. Smith and his wife Kristen of Tewksbury, Emily J. Smith and Neil Smith, both of Wakefield. She was the beloved great-grandmother of Evan, Tyler, Cameron and Penelope. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her siblings Ruth Wilkinson, Robert Malonson, Claire Goodwin, Doris Kelly, Frank Landry, Ethel Rosati, Everett Malonson and Mary Jane Malonson.
Funeral arrangements will be private and are in the care of the McDonald Funeral Home, Wakefield.
