WAKEFIELD — Mary L. Gallugi, age 99, of Wakefield died Tuesday, September 1 in Melrose.
Mary was born in Wakefield on June 21,1922 and was the daughter of the late Dominico and Josephine (Giansante) Luciano. Mary was a lifelong Wakefield resident and graduate of Wakefield High School. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She was the beloved wife of the late Pasquale “Pat” Gallugi and the loving mother of Anthony M. Gallugi of FL, Richard J. Gallugi of Peabody and Pasquale P. Gallugi of Lowell and Ann McLellan of Tewksbury. She was the sister of Evelyn Ciampa and Pat Luciano of Wakefield and the late Lillian Manfre, Jean Camerato and Dante and Caroline Luciano. She is also survived by her 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield on Thursday, September 9 at 10 a.m., followed by interment at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Avenue, Wakefield on Wednesday, September 8 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
