WAKEFIELD — Mary Paone, 92, of Wakefield, died Saturday, August 12 at her residence, surrounded by her family.

Born in Boston on December 1, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Euplio and Lucia (Cuoco) Rinaldi.

Mrs. Paone was a graduate of Girls High School in Boston, Class of 1942. She had been a longtime Wakefield resident, moving to the area in 1956. She was a member of St. Joseph Parish.

She was the beloved wife of the late John J. Paone. She was the loving mother of John J. Paone Jr. of Wakefield, Lucille Zappala of Stoneham and Allan F. Paone of Wakefield. She was the adoring grandmother of Mark Paone and his wife Rokia, Lisa Hart and her husband Michael, Michael Zappala, and Katie Zappala; and great grandmother of Courtney, Kevin, and Cameron Hart, and Max Paone. She was predeceased by her siblings: Joseph M. Rinaldi, John Rinaldi, Rose Ksypka, Anthony Rinaldi, and Frank “Chicky” Rinaldi. Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Wednesday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield at 10 a.m. Interment, Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m.
