A woman of many interests

 

Tecce-obit-webLYNNFIELD — Mary V. (Pesce) Tecce of Lynnfield passed away on April 3, surrounded by her loving family.

Mary was the beloved mother of Beverlee Tecce of Lynnfield and Virginia (Ginger) Garrett and her husband Wayne Garrett of Lynnfield. She was the former wife of the late Leo B. Tecce. Mary was born in Everett on Dec. 4, 1921 to Madeline and Joseph Pesce. She was educated in Everett.

Mary made her home in Melrose for 36 years, where she raised her daughters. She was a devoted and caring mother. Mary was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling and had a flair for fashion and home design. She loved taking long drives along coastal New England with her daughters.

Mary was the loving sister to the late Virginia Corolla, Carmine Pesce, Anne Mavillo, Rocco Pesce and Rose Barrasso. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place on Thursday, April 9 at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 West Foster St., Melrose from 9-11 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield at 11:30 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Burial will take place in Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
