MELROSE — Melrose Mayor Paul Brodeur recently presented a Key to the City to retiring Mystic Valley Elder Services (MVES) Chief Executive Officer Daniel J. O’Leary in recognition of his 35 years of service to the senior citizens of Melrose and his reign as CEO of MVES.

“Dan and Mystic Valley Elder Services have been an integral part of the city of Melrose and our region, and I am grateful to have the agency provide our older adults with programs that keep them emotionally engaged and living independently,” says Mayor Brodeur. “He is a champion for our older adults and has made a significant impact on the way they receive care. I am beyond honored to bestow Dan with the Key to the City of Melrose.”

The “Key to the City” is a symbolic gesture of appreciation and welcoming to a recipient. Receiving a Key is one of the City’s highest honors.
