LYNNFIELD —Ten pint-sized book illustrators, all students at the Summer Street School, are excited to meet the public and sign copies of “What’s in Your Pot” during their debut book signing event on Sunday, Feb. 21.

The book signing will be held at Pottery Barn Kids at MarketStreet Lynnfield from noon to 2 p.m. There will be a book reading, a yoga demonstration, and a book-related art activity, offered by Kidcasso Art Studio of Wakefield, as well as refreshments and a special thank you gift for the first 50 books sold.

The 10 students – Brayden Anderson, Maura Flaws, Abby Harris, Katie McGuinness, Dillon McKeough, Lily Shipman, Lindsay Squadrito, Thayer Sutherland, Ellie Underwood and Connor Wright – all take kids’ yoga classes with Sharon Marrama at Solstice Power Yoga at MarketStreet.

“What’s in Your Pot?” was a collaborative effort between author Marrama, illustrator Sally Lee and the students.

Their artwork was created in response to a question Marrama asks them at the start of each yoga session. While holding clay flower pots, she asks them to think about what plants need to grow and be healthy and what humans need to also grow and be healthy. For the book drawing session, the students were asked to draw something in their pot that made them happy.

The book signing also incorporates the lesson of giving back. For each book sold through the end of March, 50 percent of the net proceeds will be donated to the Summer Street School PTO. Different local children’s organizations will benefit from subsequent book sale donations each quarter, such as Townscape and the Lynnfield Public Library, said Marrama, who resides in Lynnfield.
