NORTH READING — The North Reading Democratic Town Committee will host a Meet the Candidates event at the Flint Memorial Library Activity Room on Wednesday, April 24 from 7–9:30 p.m. All candidates were invited. This is in addition to the event that the Republican Town Committee is hosting on Tuesday, April 30.
“We encourage voters to attend one of these events and we hope that adding another event will give voters an additional opportunity to get to know the candidates. Each candidate will be given the opportunity to make a statement and then will have equal time to take questions from voters,” commented Democratic Town Committee Secretary Bill Griffin.
“Our event does conflict with a community informational webinar on the budget held the same night, so we encourage voters to attend the other budget information session Thursday, May 9 at 7:30 p.m. in the Distance Learning Lab at the High School if attending our event,” Griffin added.
