Proceeds go to support The Bridge, and things like the group’s annual Community Reading Day!

This year Community Reading Day took place on March 13, when over 100 Melrose community members took time from their busy schedules to visit classrooms and tell stories about varied backgrounds and work experiences. Students at each of our Melrose public elementary schools and early childhood center were treated to a book read by one of our community volunteers.  By connecting our school students with members of our community, we’re creating a bridge to success. “What a great way to start the morning,” said Maureen Buzby, one of our long time volunteers. “I’ve been smiling all day!”
