MELROSE — The City of Melrose is sharing the following updates for the upcoming week:

Yard waste curbside pickup from November 4–8: The next curbside yard waste pickup opportunity for Melrose residents is the week of November 4. Bagged yard waste will be collected by the Department of Public Works on the regular trash and recycling pickup day for the neighborhood. Yard waste includes leaves, grass clippings and brush up to one inch in diameter bundled and tied. No dirt allowed. Yard waste must be set out in paper leaf bags or in barrels. All bags and barrels must be less than 45 gallons and 45 pounds. There is a 10 barrel/bag maximum per pick up. Barrels must be labeled “yard waste” to avoid confusion with regular household waste. With questions, call the Department of Public Works at 781-665-0142.

Election Day is November 5: Election Day is Tuesday, November 5. The polling place for all registered Melrose voters is Melrose Veterans Memorial Middle School, 90 Melrose St. and polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. With any questions about voting, please contact the Elections Office at 781-979-4125.
