MELROSE — Brendan Carroll is throwing an Irish party at Memorial Hall and everyone is invited.

On Saturday, March 16, at 3 p.m. and again at 7:30 p.m., the longtime Melrose resident, County Tipperary native and noted tenor will co-host “An Irish Celebration” along with The Friends of Memorial Hall.

Brendan, whose wife is from Dublin, has produced and performed several shows in Melrose and around the New England, including the Victorian Fair and Rotary events. He has performed as a soloist and as project manager for the Polymnia’s performance of “Letters from Ireland’ last year on St. Patrick’s Day.

“An Irish Celebration” will highlight music, song and dance from the Emerald Isle. Brendan would like to get over 1,000 people at the two performances

“This is a big undertaking but as many of you know, there is a strong Irish community in Melrose and of course everyone is Irish on St. Patrick’s weekend,” he said.

Proceeds from the event will go to The Friends of Melrose Memorial Hall, a newly formed non-profit organization.

By logging onto www.melroseirishfest.com or checking out our Facebook page at Melrose Irish Fest you will see the large group of harpists, musicians, singers and dancers performing, making this one of the best family friendly shows in Melrose. A show for all ages.

Tickets run from $25 to $35 apiece, and can be purchased at Miter Biter, 479 Main St., or online at www.Eventbrite.com. There will be a cash bar.

Tables of 10 are available by calling Brendan directly at 857-523-0767.
