MELROSE — Caroline (Donnarumma) Stoney, 82, a resident of Melrose and formerly of Everett, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 9, 2018 at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.

Caroline was born on October 28, 1935 in Boston, daughter of the late Beniamino and Mary (DiGregorio) Donnarumma. Raised and educated in East Boston, Caroline was married to Francis Stoney on May 5, 1957 in East Boston. They lived in Malden for several years before making their home in Everett.

Caroline worked for Bunny Bear Nursery Products in Everett and as a Home Health Aide for Mystic Valley Elder Services for several years. Caroline and Frank lived in Everett for 36 years before relocating to Melrose in 1999.

Caroline was happiest at home with Frank, or taking a trip to Foxwoods. During the summer, she also enjoyed visiting Frank’s sister in Alton Bay, New Hampshire. She will be deeply missed and always lovingly remembered.

Caroline was the beloved wife of Francis M. Stoney with whom she shared 60 years of marriage. Devoted mother of Kenneth M. Stoney of Amesbury. Cherished sister-in-law of Carolyn Jobsky and her husband William of Alton, N.H., Cynthia Vey and her husband Joseph of Keystone Heights, Fla., Leona Lotz and her late husband Peter of Hernando, Fla., Jeanne Stoney of Spring Hills, Fla., Barbara Castanheira and her husband Carlos of Peabody, and Ramond Stoney of Colfax, N.C.
