SAUGUS — Denise (MacDonald) Barbagallo, only 55, passed away at her home in Saugus on April 30, 2019.
Denise was raised in Melrose and graduated from Melrose High School in 1981. She lived in Peabody for 10 years and the past four years in Saugus. Mrs. Barbagallo was a homemaker who also worked for several years at Winchester Hospital as a massage therapist. Denise loved going to her beach house in Florida, watching the turtles laying their eggs at night or going kayaking around the islands with the dolphins and manatees. She also enjoyed riding her bike. Denise loved traveling all over the world with her husband Sal, taking trips to Bora Bora, Europe, Istanbul, Greece as well as numerous other beautiful places in the world.
She was the beloved wife of Sal Barbagallo. Loving mother to Brittani, Lindsey and Bobby. Cherished daughter of Ed MacDonald and the late Teresa (Aubin) MacDonald. Caring sister of Michael MacDonald, Mark MacDonald and his wife Teresa, Michelle Coye and her husband Mike, Marybeth MacDonald, and Kevin MacDonald. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation was held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose, on Friday, May 3. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at the Incarnation Church, 425 Upham St., Melrose, on Saturday, May 4. Relatives and friends were respectfully invited to attend. Interment was private.
