POMPANO BEACH, Fla. — Gloria A. (Gault) Scarpa, 79, of Pompano Beach, Fla., and formerly of Melrose, Mass., passed away May 15, 2019. She was born February 22,1940, in Lexington, Mass.
She is the beloved wife of Louis R. Scarpa of 57 years of Pompano Beach; loving mother of Lucinda R. Scarpa of Pompano Beach, and Louis R. Scarpa, Jr. of Center Barnstead, N.H.; adored grandmother of Lexie, Emma and Lilly Scarpa of Hooksett, N.H.; and caring sister of Allen Gault and his wife Carol of Derry, N.H., and Judith Viens and her husband Lenny of Acton, Mass.
Gloria was a supervisor of American Mutual Life Insurance Company, Assistant Teacher of Special Needs Children at Melrose High School, member of Sharing & Caring, Melrose and Ferncroft Country Club in Middleton, Mass. She loved golf, tennis, boating and gardening, and was an avid sports fan of the Boston Bruins, Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots.
She and her family enjoyed summers at Suncook Lake in Center Barnstead, N.H. They wintered in Pompano Beach. Her special touch for interior decorating was admirable.
Gloria was a special friend, she will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
