SAUGUS — James E. “Jim” Grayson, 79, returned home to God joining his beloved daughter Kathy Abramo on September 22, 2018.

Jim was born in Cambridge on February 24, 1939 to the late John J. and Margaret Alice (Donaghy) Grayson. He was raised in Cambridge, graduated from Cambridge Ringe & Latin High School and attended Bentley College. He was the director of grants and contracts at MIT, the New England Medical Center for 16 years and finished his career at the Beth Israel Deaconess Center in Boston.

Jim lived in Stoneham for many years and the past 15 years in Saugus. Mr. Grayson was a member of several professional organizations in his field, enjoyed his trips to Cape Cod and the Caribbean, was an avid reader and enjoyed reading books on WWII. Jim was a man of integrity, modesty, patience and had a great sense of humor. Jim loved to travel, try new restaurants but most of all he loved his family. The world is a sadder place without Jim Grayson.
