LYNNFIELD — John T. Anno, of Lynnfield, died at the Meadow Green Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Waltham on Nov. 8, 2018.

John was born in Melrose, raised in Everett and a graduate of Everett High School, Class of 1965. He went on to earn his undergraduate degree from Boston University, Class of 1969 and his masters degree from Boston State College, Class of 1973.

John resided in Lynnfield for the past 40 years and worked as a school teacher for the Saugus Middle School for 35 years before his retirement. He was a devoted family man who enjoyed fishing, carpentry, antiquing and traveling to Italy, London, Turkey and the British Isles. John loved the Boston Red Sox, hockey, animals and family vacations at Lake Winnipesaukee. He thoroughly enjoyed his coffee, taking walks, caring of his home and gardening.

John was the beloved husband of Kathleen (Masterson) Anno. Loving father of Lauren Anno-Mills and her husband Ryan of Beverly and Devin Anno and his wife Lauren of Peabody. Cherished grandfather of Ethan and Evan. Caring brother of the late Thomas Anno. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visiting hours were held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Sunday, Nov. 11. Procession was from the Gately Funeral Home on Monday, Nov. 12, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 758 Salem St., Lynnfield. Relatives and friends  were respectfully invited to attend. Burial in Forest Hills Cemetery, Lynnfield.
