MELROSE — Marian Elizabeth (Sullivan) MacLeod, 86, of Melrose, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on February 27, 2018.

Marian (Mimsy) was the beloved wife of George Graham MacLeod for 67 years, having married him in the First Baptist Church of Everett on March 18, 1951. She is survived by her four children, Diane Cooper and Charles of Osprey, Fla., Doreen Johnson and Scott of Byfield, Daryl Graham MacLeod and Debbie (Field) of Melrose, and Darlene Walsh and Christopher of Salisbury, as well as her cherished grandchildren: Kyle Graham Johnson, Kelsey Kane, Meghan MacLeod, and Meredith MacLeod. She was the loving sister of Shirley Neagle of Malden, Kenneth Sullivan of Stoneham, and Betty Iannuzzi of Malden; and predeceased by Frederick Sullivan of Malden, Dorothy Harding of Everett, Richard Sullivan of Wakefield, and Frankie Sullivan of Everett. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Marian was an avid roller skater and had met George at the Revere Beach roller rink. She was a great athlete who was involved in many sports activities and she enjoyed being a hockey mom and grandmother. She graduated from Everett High School in 1949 and she was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Everett.
