MALDEN — Mary C. Connell, 86, of Malden, died at her home on October 23, 2017. Mary was born and raised in Malden and a graduate of Girls Catholic High School in Malden. She was a lifelong Malden resident and worked as a Customer Service Representative and Secretary of the Union at Massachusetts Electric for 35 years before her retirement.
Mary was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Malden for many years and loved sharing time with her close friends. Mary took great pride in her Irish heritage and enjoyed spending time at the Irish Village on Cape Cod. She was the devoted sister of Patricia A. Varzakis of Malden. Caring aunt of James Varzakis and his wife Renelle Roy of Malden. Also survived by relatives and friends.
A graveside service was held at Forest Dale Cemetery in Malden on Thursday, October 26. Memorial contributions may be made in Mary’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, P.O.
