Title examiner was an avid Boston sports fan

HAVERHILL — Mary (Murdock) Hannabury , 76, of Melrose passed away peacefully on November 12, 2021.

Mary was born to the late William Murdock and the late Grace (Garrity) Murdock on April 4, 1945 in Melrose. She was married to Ralph A. Hannabury, Jr. for 54 years. Mary attended Melrose Public Schools and Salem State University. After Salem State, Mary went to work as a title examiner for many years at WilmerHale in Boston.

She was an avid Boston sports fan and those who knew her, knew not to bother her when the Patriots were playing. Mary loved the years she and her husband Ralph spent living in the North End and traveling. Her greatest love was spending time with and spoiling her six grandchildren.

Mary is survived by her loving husband, Ralph; her three daughters, Susan (Hannabury) Schraffa and her husband Brian Schraffa of Bradford, MA, Elizabeth (Hannabury) Duchesne and her husband Christopher Duchesne of Newburyport, MA and Patricia (Hannabury) Grauwiler and her husband Michael Grauwiler of Bradford, MA. She was a loving Nana to her grandchildren, Grace, Bradford, Nicholas, Catherine, Amelia and Henry. Sister to William Murdock and his wife Linda Murdock of Maine and Carol (Murdock) Lilley and her husband Harry Lilley of Wakefield, MA. Aunt to Tim Lilley of Wakefield, MA.
