MELROSE — Nicole C. Child, 55, passed away at Massachusetts General Hospital on Friday, September 21, 2018. Nicole was traveling to Boston to visit family when she suffered from a medical event.
She was born in Hong Kong, China, was raised in Hong Kong and England. She graduated from Hull University in England. Nicole had a green thumb, loved gardening and loved tending to her beautiful gardens at her home in England.
Nicole was the mother of Ryan Morrissey and Daniel Morrissey both of Melrose and the late Shannon Morrissey. Daughter of Simone S. Child of England and the late Douglas Child. Sister of Amanda Meymell and Christine Child of England. Sister-in-law of Peggy Morrissey of Somerville, formerly of Cambridge. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. A funeral service was held at the Woodlawn Cemetery Chapel, 302 Elm St. Everett on Wednesday, October 3. Burial will be private. Arrangements by Gately Funeral Home, Melrose.
