MALDEN — Raymond E. Macone, Jr., 58, of Malden, died unexpectedly on Nov. 26, 2018.

Ray was born in Boston, raised in Melrose and a graduate of Melrose High School, Class of 1978. He went on to earn his bachelor of science degree in Technical and Scientific Communication from Northeastern University, Class of 1997. Ray worked as a Web Specialist for Commonwealth Automobile Reinsurers for over 30 years. He enjoyed going on golf trips to Arizona with his friends and spending time at the family cottage in Plymouth. Ray loved to travel to Nashville, New Orleans, Punta Cana and Siesta Keys and his family was the most important part of his life.

Ray was the beloved husband of Leah E. (Floyd) Macone. Loving step-father of Maggie, Alexander and Betsy Coughlin. Devoted son of the late Raymond, Sr. and Marion (Lima) Macone. Caring brother of Linda Sinopoli and her husband Paul of Dalton and Diane Selecman and her husband David of Burke, Va. Uncle of Alison and Mark Sinopoli of Pittsfield and Michelle and Andrea Selecman of Burke, Va. Great uncle of Myah of Pittsfield. Also survived by relatives and friends.

Visiting hours will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Friday, Nov. 30 from 3-7 p.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Burial will be private.
