STONEHAM – Thomas E. “Pops” Burns, 79, of Stoneham, formerly of Everett, passed away at Care Dimensions Hospice House in Lincoln on September 1, 2019.
Thomas was a Marine Corps veteran.
Mr. Burns was predeceased in death by his wife of 55 years Nancy (O’Brien) Burns. Devoted father of Thomas Burns and his wife Debbie of Fla., Dorothy Barme and her husband Wayne of Wilmington, James Burns of Stoneham and the late Daniel Burns. Loving big brother of John Burns, Paul Burns, James Burns, Judy Richard, Roxanne D’Ambra and the late Margaret “Peggy” Evans, Frances Altomonte, Harriet Rosenbloom and Marie Wade. Also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Tuesday, September 10, followed by a funeral service and military honors.Relatives and friends were respectfully invited to attend. Interment services will be private for immediate family and friends at a later date.
